Welcome to San Diego Mother Council 1349 Online!

Who We Are

4th Degree KnightsThe Knights of Columbus Council 1349, a fraternal organization, which is located in San Diego, California, is one of the longest running councils in the state. In 2008, we celebrated 100 years of service. Knights from our roundtable of churches make up our council's membership. We are an active and vibrant Council, always looking to support the Church, the community, and its clergy.

Essay & Substance Abuse Awareness Poster Contests Awards Ceremony

The Council's annual Essay and Substance Abuse Awareness Poster contests' Awards Ceremony will be held at St. Vincent de Paul at 8:00AM on Thursday, February 9.  All Brothers are invited to attend and support the children who participated and won awards.  We will be presenting medals to the winners.  The Grand Knight and the Council congratulates this year's essay winners:    Katharine Bowman (1st Place), Mariano Sanfilippo  (2nd Place), and Abby Holland (3rd Place).

Lenten Fish Fry Dinners

As we approach the Lenten season, Council 1349 will be gearing up for the Fish Fry Dinners at our Roundtable Parishes.  Brother Knights are asked to clear their schedules to make themselves available to assist with these important fundraising events.  It is during the Fish Fry Dinners that the bulk of the Council's charitable funds are raised that allow us to change and save lives.  To volunteer, contact our Worthy Treasurer, Br. Jeff Ostrowski or the Grand Knight.

What We Do

KofC 3rd Degree LogoWe are a non-profit organization comprised of practical Catholic gentlemen, who perform a variety of community and charity activities. These activities include, but are not limited to volunteer services, charitable donations, church support, support for vocations, scholarships, Columbian Squires (our Youth organization), and College Councils. Pope Benedict XVI once described the Knights of Columbus as the "fighting arm" of the Church, in that we defend our faith, Church, and religious (e.g., priests, brothers, nuns, and deacons). Most importantly, we work to change lives and save lives.
